With fall quickly approaching we continue to prepare ourselves for the Perron Reunion 2021. We will continue to work towards the festivities with all hope that this pandemic will disappear during the winter. We hope that all those wishing to partake in the festivities of June 12 & 13, 2021 will have those dates reserved. We have also been thinking of visitors who wish to come with RV’s or motorhomes. We want to accommodate those visitors as well. There are several campgrounds in the surrounding areas.
We offer Morris camping for RVs, because Perrons arriving by plane or car will be accommodated at the Morris hotel, so less hassle in transporting everyone. Morris Campground : 55 kmsms south of Winnipeg, intersection of highway 75 south & 23 east : 25 sites with electricity & water. Camping Museum Campgrounds For more info contact the Morris & District Centennial Museum, (204) 746-2169 mormus@mymts.net
Ste-Agathe Parc Cartier: 40 kms south of Winnipeg, intersection of highway 75 and 305 west : 54 sites : 14 with electricity and water.
Emerson : 109 kms south of Winnipeg on highway 75 just north of the American border / 14 kms southeast of St-Joseph : 20 sites, 12 with electricity & water, outdoor pool & picnic shelter.
St-Joseph and its surrounding areas have been Covid free. The small community of St-Joseph has not always been pandemic free. In 1919, the small village lost four of its young mothers in 9 days, all victims of the Spanish flu. All were young mothers of 30, 32, 33 & 40 years old. Ida Perron (née Daneault) passed away on March 20 1919 at the age of 40 leaving behind six children and her husband Eugène Perron son of Joseph Perron & Vitaline Potvin.
We look forward to meeting new Perron cousins at the 2021 reunion.

Good day everyone, as you know, Covid-19 has made our travel plans more complicated and that is even more evident when it comes to air travel.
For group airline reservations, a deposit of $100 per person is required in advance. This deposit will not be reimbursed if the trip is cancelled before the date of the final payment. It can be converted to a one year travel credit for the full amount of the trip if the cancellation occurs after the final payment.
Following discussions with the Board of Directors and George, we have opted to give you all the information so that you can make your own reservations at your leisure. We have agreed upon the following dates in order to facilitate the shuttle transport between the airport and the Morris Stampede INN.
The dates are from the 11th to the 16th of June 2021 with Air Canada:
-Direct flight on June 11th from MONTREAL at 13:30 arriving in WINNIPEG at 15:28
-Direct flight on June 16th from WINNIPEG at 14:10 arriving in MONTREAL at 17:48
N.B. The cost of the return ticket was $750 per person in August. The tariffs differ from day to day.
Having lived through the cancellation of a trip in May of this year, I recommend:
1. that you make your reservation through a travel agency as it is easier to receive a credit in case of cancellation;
2. that you not wait too long to reserve as there is a high demand for trips within Canada for 2021 and
3. that, if you opt for a travel agency in your area, that you keep in mind the dates mentioned above so that you can avail yourself of the shuttle transport from the airport to the Morris Stampede Inn (P.O. Box 896, 400 Main Street South, Morris, Manitoba).
The contact details of the travel agency in Vald’Or are: Voyages Brunet, Carlson Wagonlit Voyages, 836, 4e Avenue, Val-d’Or, QC J9P 1J5 The toll-free number is 1-877-995-7077.

Our team will insure the transport between the airport and the Morris Inn for the two dates mentioned above. Another shuttle service will be available all weekend (both morning and evening) for the trip from Morris to St-Joseph. From Monday the 14th to the 16th of June, a detailed schedule will be available for the Winnipeg visit.
For your information: Winnipeg to Morris = 70 km and Morris to St-Joseph = 32 km
